He Can Heal!                                                                                                “No Different”

See Matthew 4:23-24 and Matthew 8.

Mark 5:21-28, “Jesus got into the boat again and went back to the other side of the lake, where a large crowd gathered around Him on the shore. Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at His feet,  pleading fervently with Him. ‘My little daughter is dying,’ he said. ‘Please come and lay Your hands on her; heal her so she can live.’ Jesus went with him, and all the people followed, crowding around Him. A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched His robe.  For she thought to herself, ‘If I can just touch His robe, I will be healed.’”

  1. They were _________________ and put into _________________ so they wouldn’t just shut down the lives of other people.
  2. Think of this woman, for 12 years she is in a continual state of being                 _____________________________________.

Mark 5:29-34, “Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from Him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, ‘Who touched My clothes?’ ‘You see the people crowding against you,’ His disciples answered, ‘and yet you can ask, “Who touched me?”’  But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at His feet and, trembling with fear, told Him the whole truth. He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.’”

  1. For anyone other than family ________________ Jesus’ fringe would have been culturally scandalous.

James 5:14-15, ”Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.”

  1. The “Praying Process”
  2. A) It’s for the _________________________.
  3. B) It’s by the church’s ________________________.
  4. C) It includes being __________________________.
  5. D) It means to pray __________________________.
