We’ve Been Made
It’s a Race

Galatians 2:26-28, “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.  There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Genesis 1:26-27, “Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.’ So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.”

                 The Three Amazing Creation Statements:

1. We were ________________ or _________________.

      A. The real divide isn’t between creation and evolution, but between a ___________________view of the universe that sees ____________________ is all there is.

      B. And a ___________________ view of the universe that remains very much open to the existence and activity of a ___________________.

2.  We were made in the very ______________________.
This means that when God made us, He put ___________   ________________________________ in us.

      A. Being made in the image of God means that we have a __________________________________.

      B.  Because God is Himself a __________________ of oneness — the Trinity — He created us to be in ____________________ as well, with each other and most importantly, with Him.

3.  We were made ______________________. When God created human beings, He  created__________________.

                                                                                                          Where Does Races Come From?

4. Point: The differing skin colors and ethnic distinctions in our world did ______________ begin as a result of certain people being punished or cursed.

Genesis 4:15b, “Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him.”

Genesis 9:24-25, “When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, he said, ‘Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers.’”

Acts 17:26, “From one man He made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.”

Acts 10:34-35, “Then Peter began to speak: ‘I now realize how true… that God does not show favoritism….’”

Genesis 11:8-9, “So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city.  That is why it was called Babel —because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth.”

5. What you look like and the skin you put on should be the likeness and color of __________________.

Revelation 7:9-10, “After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.’”
